Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Agapelo (“Agapelo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage us to design and build software. It also describes the rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect your name and email address, and — where you choose to provide them — your company, project type, budget range, and the details of your message. During an engagement, you may share additional materials such as documents, designs, credentials, or access to systems that are needed to deliver the work.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure may log limited technical data — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view — to keep the site secure, reliable, and performant. We ask only for what a given purpose genuinely requires and keep collection to a minimum.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to your enquiries and prepare proposals; to deliver, maintain, and improve our services; to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website; to send communications you have asked to receive; and to meet our legal, accounting, and contractual obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Our commitment on AI and your data

Because we build AI products, we hold ourselves to a clear standard: we do not use your confidential information, your data, or your users' data to train our own or any third party's AI models unless you have specifically instructed us to as part of an engagement. Where a project requires AI services, data is shared with the relevant providers only to the extent needed to deliver the agreed work, under their applicable terms and our confidentiality obligations.

Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for optional communications); the performance of a contract (delivering the services you have engaged us for); our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving our business, balanced against your rights; and compliance with our legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

We keep cookies and similar technologies to a minimum. Where we use analytics, it is to understand and improve the site, and — where required by law — only with your consent. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

How we share information

We never sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under contract and confidentiality obligations — for example Resend, which delivers the email generated by our contact form, and our hosting and infrastructure providers; with professional advisers where reasonably necessary; and with authorities or others where required by law or to protect our rights. We require every provider to safeguard your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

International data transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect it in line with applicable law.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes set out here — to respond to you, deliver and support our work, and meet legal or contractual requirements — after which we delete or anonymise it. Materials tied to an engagement are retained in line with the relevant statement of work.

How we protect your information

We protect personal information using measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit, access controls, the principle of least privilege, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue ever arises.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@agapelo.com, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the revised version here and update the date shown above.
